The End | Brazos Valley Computer Museum RIP 2023 | A discontinued collection of vintage and retro computers!

I’ve sold off a few business-oriented items and am donating a percentage of the sale to the Boys and Girls Club of Brazos County and the National Video Game Museum, who collected the rest of the collection – including the items on display at downtown Bryan.

I’ve disabled comments and will not be accepting any donations.

If you have something you want to get rid of:

Twice a year there is a Household Hazardous Waste Day. They take all types of non-commercial electronics.
If you really think your item is worth more than $50 and you have the time, then eBay, but I caution you, proof of working condition is the only way to drive up the price on most items. This is triply true if you don’t have a lot of positive reviews / a good rating.
And “that’s all folks”.

I was reading the RISKS newsletter when I saw a posting by Peter deJager asking for folks to be interviewed for a 20yr Y2K retrospective project of his. I wrote him a short note recalling some of the things I was involved in with Applied Computer Services Inc. (1984-2012 RIP). We exchanged a few emails and then I was being interviewed for his podcast. At about the same time my daughter needed some family record and I discovered several Y2K flyers, an article from Insite Magazine and… a script of a presentation that Jere Blackwelder and I did for some unknown venue. After I shared them with the “old hands” of ACSI, present them as part of the BVCM digital collection….
